The Chairman of the Somali International Youth Agency (SOIYA), Mr. Deeq Abdi Aziz Mohamed (Deeq Jidaal), officially inaugurated the Fenoon Cup 2025, an annual football tournament featuring 13 youth teams from across Somalia. The tournament is designed to give young Somali players an opportunity to showcase their football talents while promoting unity, peace, and community development through sports.
In his opening speech, Chairman Deeq Jidaal emphasized the importance of empowering Somali youth and using sports as a tool for social change. He stated, “Fenoon Cup is more than just a football tournament. It is a platform for Somali youth to grow, develop their talents, and contribute to their community’s future. Sports play a vital role in building character, discipline, and teamwork among the youth.”
The Chairman also highlighted the significant role Fenoon Star Construction Company, a leading firm in construction and real estate development, played in supporting the tournament. He expressed his gratitude for the company’s commitment to youth empowerment and their contributions to making the Fenoon Cup a success.
